I had a choice of A or B this morning.
A = frame the situation as “I only went swimming 46 times last year” accompanied by beating myself up and feeling negative.
B = frame the situation as “I went swimming on average nearly once a week last year” accompanied by feeling a sense of achievement about something I love doing.
I was choosing A until a fellow swimmer reframed my 46 swims to B.
Who can you talk to today to help reframe something you’re beating yourself up about?
And this was my first swim of 2025 so that’s me on my way towards this year’s 46 - I wonder when I’ll reach that figure this year?
And as I enter my swim in my swimming log I realise my 2024 swims were 230% of 2023 & 2022 and 94% of the two years combined!
How can you reframe a situation you're giving yourself a hard time about?
Here's the short I recorded sharing this and see below for another video if you feel like you're beating yourself up with a stick.
With this following video also providing a different perspective if you're being hard on yourself and resonate with feeling like you're beating yourself up with a stick.
