Are you treading on thin Ice?

The premise of much of my work is that the metaphor contained in your language has the solution contained within it. I believe that the solution, that is currently hidden from view, is nudging you in the words you're using to describe the current situation.

Which means when you feel like you're treading on thin ice the answer you're searching for might be found exploring the thin ice.

In this article written for LinkedIn I explore how nature's landscapes can provide insight and clarity about what to do when you're feeling like you're treading on thin ice.

Do get in touch if you'd like to find out more about how words have power and their use in providing insight on what to do next - for teams and individuals.

My book, Can't see the wood for the trees - landscaping your life to get back on track, explores a number of sayings you use when you're stuck and explores them to find solutions. The sayings include:

  • Can't see the wood for the trees
  • Up the creek without a paddle
  • Stuck in a rut
  • Like a fish out of water
  • Treading water
  • In at the deep end
  • Out on a limb

You'll find more about how the Landscaping Your Life toolkit works as I add more blogs to this new 2021 LYL website.
